Re: Paul Kovak's MCF Blog
Hello Paul, Thank you for taking the trouble to create your blog, most interesting and quite possibly a good healing tool. I think one thing I’ve learned since leaving is that XCF is not really much different to any organisation where the majority of power rests in the hands of one person. That one ...

Re: Remembering Broken Families
Thank you Faith and robocop. Coincidentally I caught up with a dear friend from the XCF toward the end of last year. They (as it turned out) departed some time after I left. Her family condemned her, but interestingly, she faced up to them and challenged them on their judgment. This didn’t necessari...

Re: THE HERESY OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP SALVATION TEACHINGS
Thank you Faith! It is actually very difficult to work out one’s own path in life and salvation with the sword or hammer threatening to strike you down. It took me many years to recover from the threats that were either spoken or implied. I also found it a very brutal environment to be in after a nu...

Re: How unique is BCF/MCF's brand of cultishness (especially the last 25 Vic Hall years)?
I still have a vivid recollection of a planned concert to be given by his band - this was when BCF was at Enoggera last century - whose name escapes me - something family? Or maybe that was another group? Anyway invitations were given, advertisements had been placed, all was ready and with about an...

What role for churches in 21st century
It’s been stimulating having discussion after Paul K asked about the peculiar, or otherwise, nature of B/MCF doctrine. In the last two weeks I’ve been to several different churches. Two in particular were very welcoming, friendly, caring. They both also ran programs to assist the local marginal comm...

Hi Wendy, Good observations. Yes, think it appears that the great ego has suffered very little, if at all. It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest though. And yes, the presumption and the sudden ownership of high and mighty skills is a learned response and a giveaway of emotional immaturity by and l...

Thanks Wendy. Who would have thought that little Muzza would be so vain as to have a dot.com website of his own? Clearly all that fire and brimstone and thundering from the pulpit is now to be disregarded, apparently it’s ok to be vain, to pursue education. Golly gosh. Trouble is the guff on each pa...

Hmm, so possibly just a fiscal policy to help the balance sheet; get them defrocked at around pension age, shove them out the door and get the taxpayer to shoulder the burden.
But was little Muzza living in the swamp grounds? Or did he have to move out?
My how the mighty have fallen.
